Equal Time Given All Should be Held Accountable

Two Vinces beat only one

Unfortunately, the false political propaganda has started a couple of years early in advance of the next county commissioners election, judging by a recent letter to the editor. So much good has happened for Fayette County in the last 15 months since Vince Zapotosky and Vincent Vicites began working together as county commissioners.

Right now, the county is at the peak of the highway construction with the expressway. The citizens have an improved paper ballot voting system and these Fayette guys are really putting forth the effort to bring back millions in state and federal funds for priority projects.

In so many communities they have accomplished a lot in the last few months. No more fighting in Fayette; we have our act together. I give both of them an A-plus for effort, in working for the county's best interest, above party politics, and working for all citizens' public good.

It's refreshing to see two Democratic commissioners working together. Both Vince and Vince, although they don't always agree, are trying to help create progress. They are young capable leaders. The citizens can see the steady progress and the citizens see through the propaganda.

Good thing
It is a good thing the supporters of Vince and Vince only have to add the numbers to post. If it was long division they might be shut out from posting. So do not say the Herald-Standard is biased against them.

Fani Survived Jonestown?
I think Mr. Fani must have survived Jonestown as that is the only possible explanation for how he could have consumed so much of the Vinces' Kool-Aid and still be alert enough to write his letter.

Comments
The comments started early because the recent actions Vince and Vince have taken require comment. Note the Delta Consultant cloud that they defend. When Vicites said they did not have to hire the low bidder in the January and the two Vinces went for Delta; one can only wonder what the real basis for choosing Delta was. Stay tuned.

Letter Says Nothing
Mr. Fani's letter says absolutely nothing.

"Peak of the highway construction with the expressway"? The two Vinces are responsible for this expressway? Gee, I never knew.

"Improved paper ballot voting system"? This, after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a screen system? We would have been better off staying with the old lever machines.

The two Vinces "are trying to help create progress"? This is nothing but rhetoric. They should be judged on RESULTS, not efforts. Why do liberals always thing they get points for trying, even though their policies always fail, always bankrupt the taxpayers?

"It's refreshing to see two Democratic commissioners working together." Sorry, I don't get the warm and fuzzies like you do, Mr. Fani. This county has always been controlled by Democrats working together. That's why it's the second poorest county in the State.

"The citizens can see the steady progress and the citizens see through the propaganda." What progress? What propaganda? Give us some specific examples of each, and spare us the liberal rhetoric.

Vinces are teamed up

According to what I read in the Herald-Standard and the Tribune-Review, it appears the "Gold Dust Twins" (Vince and Vince) are still at it. They are still working against Fayette County Commissioner Angela Zimmerlink every step of the way.

What a shame that Mrs. Zimmerlink, while at the chief clerk's office, inadvertently discovered a document signed by The Twins (Vince and Vince) with a note attached that all three commissioners had received it. This was a surprise to Ms. Zimmerlink, as she had not seen it.

This is a situation where two commissioners (Vince and Vince) have worked together against the third party on more than one occasion. Come on guys, knock it off. The two of you are even starting to look alike.

Wonder Twin Powers Activated

The Wonder Twins have activated their powers to form the new dynamic duo that is continuing the fine traditions that have made Fayette the tremendous success it is today. And, I see no reason for them to stop as it obviously works for them.
However, nobody should be quick to give Zimmerlink a pass. While it is clear that she is by far the best of the bunch, she has totally failed to exercise powers available to her to shed light on several issues.

For instance, Zimmerlink, in her role as a member of the Fayette County Voter Registration Commission, has the authority on her own (she does not need another Commissioner's cooperation) to hold hearings, including the power to issue subpoenas, to look into the rolls of registered voters in Fayette and to act as an Inspector of Registration in conducting a door to door purge of unqualified registered voters in the county.

In addition, why has Zimmerlink never made a motion for the Commissioners, the political entity that created it, to take over the operation of the Fayette Co. Housing Auth. and then auction off the program's assets and use the proceeds to pay down the county's debt or to cut taxes by an equal amount? Who cares if she wouldn't get a second to such a motion? She could still make it!

So while we watch the Wonder Twins, don't let Wonder Woman off the hook.

Are you kidding
How much did Angela pay to have you write this? How would you know anything about a "secret note." Why don't you go back to the lonely commissioner and tell her to drop her negativity, short sightedness, arrogance and general poor attitude and concede that these two are superior to her in both intellect and personality.
