Loophole for Election Fraud

Governor George Allen should demand the recount in Virginia. Geesh. What is it with these candidates who lose an election by a couple hundred, or thousand votes - don't they want to expose a system riddled with loopholes for election fraud?

In the case of Virginia, how many deceased names remained on the voter registration rolls? Were any used to vote. How easy to go vote in your own precinct using your own name, then because of the provisionals, go to another precinct, and use the name of someone who has not yet been removed from the county voter rolls because of inefficiency, oversight, refusal to update the voter rolls out of fear of charges of voter disenfranchisement.

Electline.org conducted a report on how the provisional ballots are counted in different states when the provisional voter resides in the correct county for his/her voting district, but not in the correct precinct.

Ballots are partially counted - the federal part is counted! so a massive amount of fraud can be committed in large counties wherein the election boards have not yet removed the names of deceased from the voter rolls.

What should also be checked during an investigation is how many persons have dual voter registrations in different states? One big loophole is an individual can reside in one state, have mail delivered to them there, and also rent or own property in another state, have mail delivered to them there, and states can't check cross-states, yet. Big loophole.

Greg Hopkins, Republican candidate who faced an incumbent state legislator (who has been in Harrisburg almost longer than Hopkins has been alive) in Pennsylvania's 50th District, lost by a close margin. The 50th PA state legislative district, however, encompasses three counties! Here are the stats:

From DeWeese's loss in Greene shocks Lebder
The tally in Greene County where 51.5 percent, or 13,071 of the 25,334 registered electorate, voted, Hopkins received 6,433 votes (52 percent) to DeWeese's 5,844 (47 percent), according to unofficial results.

In Fayette County, DeWeese received 2,403 votes (63 percent) and Hopkins 1,431 (37 percent), according to unofficial results. There are more than 89,000 registered voters in the county and 43 percent turned out for the election.

In Washington County, DeWeese led with 1,339 votes (63 percent) and Hopkins fell behind with 769 votes (37 percent), according to unofficial results. Of the 154,911 registered voters in the county, 71,576, or 46.2 percent, voted Tuesday.

Now somebody correct me if I'm wrong but for Fayette County subtracting 1,431 from 2,403 = 970 votes. In a county with 89,000 county-wide registered voters and a reportedly 43 percent turnout of county-wide registered voters, that equals 48,270.00 persons turned out to vote, or cast absentee ballots! That's astonishing! Ripe for loophole to election fraud.

In Greene County - reportedly, some 51 percent of registered voters voted! Hopkins won there, so no need for a challenge.

But look at the sliver of the 50th district wherein DeWeese garnered some 1,339 votes to Hopkins 769. How many of the 154,911 registered voters are deceased, moved from the county, or use an old address to vote?

This is another loophole for election fraud. Voters retaining an old address to vote, and not changing their voter registration to reflect where they currently reside!

What is to stop someone from using a maiden name in one precinct, where they retain the old address for voting, then turn around in the same county, and use a married name with with a new address?

Nothing.

Hopkins should mount a recount and review by the the Election Boards of the three different counties.

It wasn't that long ago (1997) voter fraud related to absentee ballots in nursing homes was charged, indictments handed down against three individuals including a former United States Congressman, Democrat Austin Murphy. While prosecution was forstalled due to permission to enter into an ARD program, the incident left a blackmark on the county of Fayette County to this day. John Fund (opinionjournal.com) makes note of the incident during numerous appearances on network television programs to discuss his book, his articles about voter fraud, etc. Interesting to note is almost 10 years ago the Fayette grand jury recommended removal of names of deceased and those who had moved out of the state from the local voter registry, noting such were ripe for fraudulent use.

To date, the voter registration rolls remain swelled to over 89,000 electors! That is criminal since the county saw a decrease in population prior to the year 2000 census.

Ripe for loophole to election fraud.

Another reason for Hopkins to challenge the outcome of the close election results in two of the three different counties is different voting systems were used in the three separate counties. Were there any problems in Washington County? Were there any problems in Greene County? Were there any problems in Fayette County?

What were the provisional ballot stats for the three counties?

given the high number of electors who remain on the voter registration rolls in Fayette County, there should be an investigation of how many voters reside in a different location of the county, but keep their "old" address for the purposes of voting. How many are women who use maiden names for the old address? Is this a potential loophole for fraud?

DeWeese's loss in Greene shocks Lebder

Incumbent Democratic state Rep. H. William DeWeese winning more votes in Fayette County than Republican challenger Greg Hopkins in Tuesday's election isn't what surprised county Democratic Party Chairman Fred Lebder.

Hopkins outgaining DeWeese in Greene County, where both men live, was the surprise, Lebder said.

DeWeese, the House Democratic leader, won 9,586 votes to defeat Hopkins, who received 8,633 votes, in the race for the 50th District seat, according to unofficial results...

...The 50th District is made up of all of Greene County, Masontown, Brownsville, Point Marion, Luzerne Township and precincts 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in German Township in Fayette County.

DeWeese was the top vote getter in all 18 voting precincts in the district in Fayette County and all but one of the 10 precincts in Washington County, according to unofficial results.

In Greene County, Hopkins received more votes in 21 precincts and DeWeese won the majority in 18 precincts, according to unofficial results. The county elections office reported all votes were counted, but the tallies from five of the 44 total precincts were not posted on its Web site Wednesday.

The tally in Greene County where 51.5 percent, or 13,071 of the 25,334 registered electorate, voted, Hopkins received 6,433 votes (52 percent) to DeWeese's 5,844 (47 percent), according to unofficial results.
